On the 4th at 7:00 p.m., Albacete-based writer Kassandra De Müller will present the second volume of her Atmósferas trilogy, titled *Reflejos piramidales*, at the Albacete Public Library. The author from Villarrobledo, who spoke to La Tribuna de Albacete about the unique aspects of the work, will be joined at this event by other members of the Quijote Cultural Association, which she promotes.

What is Reflejos piramidales, this second work?

Reflejos piramidales is a work of poetic prose. It is the second volume of a personal development trilogy. My book speaks of the journey of the human soul—a journey we all go through—the transitions we undergo, the experiences we live, and how we transform negative thoughts into positive ones. It truly is a paradigm shift and a change in mindset, and it contains many existential, philosophical, and personal growth messages. That’s how I see it.

What do you mean when you speak of personal development?

Personal development is first looking inward to transform what we don’t like or what doesn’t serve us on a personal level, to improve, to give our best to the society we live in, and to be happier, of course.

As for the genre, are we talking about poetic prose?

Pyramidal Reflections is poetic prose, and we could also view it as a self-help book, because it contains many existential and transformative messages—and I’d say that’s essentially how I approached it. Of course, everyone feels something different when they read it. Since it’s poetic prose, depending on their life experiences, readers identify with some aspects more than others, and it truly is a transformative process. Also, I chose poetic prose because I love poetry; poetic prose is magical, though that doesn’t mean I can’t write in other genres—it just seemed like the best choice for the trilogy.

That trilogy began with *Sortilegios alados*.

That’s right, it began with *Sortilegios alados*; now *Reflejos piramidales* is coming out, and the third is *Cumbres visionadas*, which is already being prepared—in layout—here in Albacete, and I’m waiting because it could come out in September, if all goes well.

Do you recommend starting with *Sortilegios alados*?

Although you can read *Reflejos piramidales*, ideally you should read the first one, *Sortilegios alados*, which begins with Greek mythology—the origin of the world and of culture—and the soul’s journey begins right there. It then continues with the deadly sins, the art of Chinese ink (sumi-e), and evolves from there.

What can we take away from this second volume, Pyramid Reflections?

The truth is that it covers many things—themes of love, disillusionment, transformation, resentment, or how we feel in particular moments, in positive ways. It’s a catalyst, really, and each poem deals with a different theme, from the origin or how each person feels, and it’s not that easy to explain; I recommend reading it.

Why three books?

Because three is a magic number. From the beginning, I realized it was a trilogy, because everything was truly interconnected.

Did you have a specific reader profile in mind?

Both teenagers and older people.

You also created the illustrations for your books.

That’s right. I’ve always loved painting, creating—it all goes together. All the arts can be mixed and worked with, and from the start I knew I was going to do the illustrations for these works. First came the poems, and then the illustrations.

Do you have any projects in the works?

Now it’s time to think about what I’m going to do after this trilogy—so, probably some short stories, since I’ve written a lot of them, or a novel, but I have to figure out what approach to take, because I also have artist’s books.

Where can we find the books?

Well, I recently created a website, www.kassandrademuller.com, and the volumes are there. Also, in Albacete, they’re at Librería Popular, where I’ve left the two books, and Sortilegios alados is also available at Herso.
